Clarity Pattern #1

The client presented with "not really having a sense of my place in the world, or of whether I actually belong here, in this time. I feel so much like an alien in this world at the moment & wonder exactly what there is for me to do in it, not feeling very inspired or creative about anything or any direction." He said he had a lack of clarity, which he perceived to be due to his internal state rather than things around him.

The client "was amazed at how strong the sensation was on the points you needled. As soon as the needle went in it felt as though you were spiralling it into the point with big circular movements at the handle end. It sent me to sleep fairly quickly, but briefly. When I woke I was aware of all the needles but in particular Du20 (on top of the head) which gave me the feeling off being lifted off the couch. The strongest sensation though was focused around the 3rd eye area (though there was no needle placed there). There was a hard green acorn like kernel there. Thin petals around it peeled back to reveal a golden core, but it didn't feel quite right. As it came more clearly into focus I could tell that it was simply gold leafed and uneven in appearance. After you came round and woke the needles up I felt a much stronger surging upwards of energy towards the same area. A new object was being revealed there from unfolding petals. It was smartie-shaped, mercurial in substance and pure gold right through." He commented that for the final 15 minutes he felt he was getting stronger & stronger. When I suggested we stop, he said he felt there was more in the pattern, but that it was also a good place to stop for now.

After the treatment the client commented that "I wasn't expecting anything like that at all. It's unusual for me to experience things in such a visual manner." He said "I haven't felt how I do now in a long time" & that he just wanted to go home & be still.

On returning home he was aware of "a very odd headache, or rather a focused aching energy right around the 3rd eye area. This had gone by the next day and a lot of issues I have at the moment were thrown into focus." "There's still lots of unknowns, but I have a greater sense of direction, even though I don't quite see what that direction is at the moment, if that's possible. So the treatment seems to be enabling things to unfold."

Clarity Pattern #2

"The feeling once the needles had gone in was very different to the normal acupuncture. Usually it feels like your body is grabbing the needle, but this felt more like something was being opened up by the needle being there. It felt a bit like a tiny spiral of energy which swirled round and got bigger and then spread.

Once all the needles were in , my eyes gradually closed, but I didn't feel sleepy at all. I felt as though there were lines in my body and that energy, a throbbing, pulsating feeling, was trying to push its way along the lines, round and round again. I couldn't really feel my legs or my hands, which were resting on my stomach, all I could really feel were the lines filled with that strange pulse. The bed I was lying on felt concave rather than flat, it was like I was being cocooned. I felt very protected , as if there were lots of swirling colours outside the cocoon but they couldn't get to me, although I could see them. I had a really strong sense of it just being me, on my own, safe from all the swirling stuff. I could see it but it wasn't impacting on the feeling of it just being me.

Writing this later in the day I'm left feeling kind of buzzy, like I'm not quite back in the everyday world. Something has shifted, I still have the feeling of that cocoon. I'm not in it anymore but its there for me to go back to. My mind feels light and separate, like its got a space around it. This acupuncture session has had a deep impact on me. Reading about this kind of energy is one thing but to actually feel it in yourself is amazing."
